The Music |
Alex's original music is an organic melting pot of what he has loved about all the kinds of music he has studied and played. Never a purist, he is unafraid to let aesthetics from ordinarily unrelated styles of music shine together where they are harmonious. He has composed and arranged for solo acoustic guitar, jazz combos, rock bands and more. His guitar style is heavily influenced by keyboard instruments, including the piano, harpsichord, synth and accordion. His melodic and improvised lines flow with an evenness of dynamic attack that often remind the listener of fingers on keys .
Current performance presentations include gypsy swing duo/trio/quartet, solo acoustic/classical guitar, jazz combos and a five piece electric folk jazz ensemble. |
